2. Tell us about DealerSocket's Growth.
Over the past 5 years, DealerSocket has grown by 285% (or added 200 employees). Our growth remained steady through the economic downturn, when many software and automotive related companies were struggling. We attribute this growth to the fact that our products help our customers better manage their dealerships, and increase profitability, and are priced competitively. As a result of this phenomenal growth, parking can be tough and office space is a little cramped, but it's a good problem to have. We are continuing to grow, based on customer demand, and are currently looking for additional office space in the area to support our continued growth plans!

3. Tell us about DealerSocket's Culture and Work Environment.
"One way our culture is unique is that the Executive Team puts a lot of responsibility on individual employees to make decisions. This is true for all departments: Sales, Customer Service, Consultants, Engineering and Product Management. We are empowered to take action to solve problems for customers. Next, management has an open door policy so this helps create a sense of trust and confidence in employees. Finally we take risks, and as a result make some mistakes. Yet we avoid the blame game culture-- it's just not in our corporate DNA. If there is a mistake the question that is asked is, "What is the customer impact and how can we reduce or eliminate the impact quickly?" Next, we get together as a team to discuss how to prevent the service interruption in the future. This kind of detailed problem resolution is dependent upon each person being open about what happened and what should happen in the future. " -Craig Dewalt, Project Manager
"The road to creating great products within DealerSocket begins with establishing the right idea, at the right time in the most strategic and innovative way. The Product Managers conduct research, produce clear requirements and the vision of the product for our Engineering team, and evangelize the products to the Sales, Marketing, Support and Consulting teams for maximum adoption. Ultimately, the goal for our Product Managers and our Company is to produce products that are feasible, usable and valuable making the biggest impact for the marketplace."
-Nathan Usher, Director of Product Management
"On the software creation and delivery side, we are practicing a strict yet flexible adoption of an Agile Software Development approach with Scrum. We are using Visual Studio 2010 in conjunction with VersionOne Ultimate Edition and this blend of "best of breed" tools has enabled the Engineering Department to be able to provide consistent releases of new products and enhancements as well as deployment of nearly all business applications to production approximately every 3 weeks. During these Sprint cycles we perform the functions of designing scalable architectures, developing new and enhancing existing products, performing unit tests and code reviews, along with completing all the other proper steps in the software lifecycle including performing functional and regression testing as well as running automation test scripts. The Releases include packaging all applications and data for the entire N-Tier Architecture which the client accesses via browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer) and mobile devices including mobile devices on iOS, Android, and the Kindle. Performing large scale deployments of the code base every 3 weeks is accompanied by some technical risk, and we manage this risk with a veteran team of QA Engineers and a very experienced Customer Support Department that can quickly isolate problems and provide details on any fixes that are needed."

5. Tell us about your partnership with CONEXiS.
"Our partnership with CONEXiS has been beneficial because CONEXiS understands both the organization and the hiring managers' specific needs very well. They recognize that the type of motivated candidates we are looking for can't only be determined by the buzzwords on a resume. Specifically, CONEXiS brings us candidates who may not fit the exact requirements of the position but have the experience and enthusiasm we value. In addition, CONEXiS is able to identify candidates who may not present themselves as well as they could without the assistance from CONEXiS because they have a long history of placing candidates successfully in our company. The candidates that are hired from CONEXiS tend to be a better cultural fit and stay with us for the long haul."
